Blogger? Yep. I know, everyone’s hooked on WordPress and people are often talking about how "SEO friendly" it is. Actually, that’s true, but it does take some work to get WordPress in an optimal configuration.
Nevertheless, what I want to talk about is using an off-site Blogger blog to promote your website. If you put a link in the "links" area on the sidebar of a free blog hosted on blogspot.com, you can end up with many links back to your website from a high powered site.
What I recommend is that you set up Blogger to receive posts from the Unique Article Wizard. This will feed your blog unique articles on the subject matter of your choice. That way, you can spend minimal time growing this off-site blog and most of your time on your own site.
Here are the top 10 reasons to use Blogger to promote your website:
1. It’s free to use.
2. It’s easy to set up.
3. It’s easy to create posts.
4. You can post via email.
5. It’s a throw away blog so you can post other people’s articles without worrying about conflicting brand issues.
6. Google has been known to love Blogger blogs (surprise!), and so you get a powerful link.
7. You can post content, but not have to write it yourself.
8. The content is substantially unique so you don’t have to worry about duplicate content filters.
9. You don’t have to write your own content, but you also don’t have to pay someone else to write it.
10. Since the posts are articles written by others, you can comment on them, which adds more unique content and stimulates conversations.
