40 Days of Blogging
Today begins my 40 Days of Blogging. I’m going to hit the blog hard and average at least one blog post per day for either 40 days, or until I hit 40 posts. I’ll also be promoting the blog and the main site in various ways, and I’ll clue you in on some of that here.
During this exercise, we’ll take a look at what effect all this has on traffic, backlinks, and so on. I’m hoping that I can come up with some useful mini-case studies that outline some direct, or at least semi-direct cause and effect traffic building processes.
I’m disappointed sometimes when I see blog posts about website traffic building, and the advice is something like “use Facebook.” I’m really disappointed when I buy an ebook that is supposed to discuss traffic tactics and it says “get a Blogger blog and ping after every blog post.” That might be a good suggestion, but it doesn’t tell me anything about the details of how to do it. Let’s see if we can come up some more specifics, shall we? I’ve got a few more configuration tweaks to do and some WordPress plug-ins to install, and then I’ll get to blogging it up.
