After much resistance, I’ve joined Twitter. Many people have said, including those active on Twitter, that it might be a waste of time. They just don’t get the point. Frankly, I didn’t either. At the recommendation of John Reese, and with an endorsement from Guy Kawasaki, I have taken the plunge.
It’s very possible that much of what goes on in “Twitterland” may be a waste of time. That’s probably true, to some degree, about most of the Web. Come to think of it, from a subjective point of view, that’s probably true about most things. What’s important to me is not necessarily important to you.
In any case, Twitter reportedly has millions of users, and there are new Twitter related sites and applications cropping up every week. A particularly useful application, IMO, is Twitterfeed. You can set it up to automatically announce your blog posts on Twitter. Pretty nifty.
